The Gateway Upgrade Project is one of RECO Australia’s largest public infrastructure contracts.  Approximately 15 000m² of Reinforced Earth walls and abutments, many with a unique TerraPlus® facing panel, were designed and supplied by RECO.  Numerous individually detailed facing panels allow horizontal and vertical splaying of soil reinforcing strips to accommodate large diameter piles and overcome poor foundation conditions.  TerraTilt® full height panels were also used on the east coast of Australia for the first time, on this project in order to create safe working conditions for a bridge abutment upgrade adjacent to a heavily trafficked suburban railway line.
