Cut and Fill Pty Ltd have awarded design and supply of 4475sqm of Reinforced Earth™ walls on Section 4B of the Geelong Ring Road to the Reinforced Earth Company.  The 4475sqm includes 3319sqm of textured TerraTilt® panels (Rekli® Durance) and 1156sqm of plain TerraPlus® panels for the Blue Circle Haul Road Underpass.    

The Geelong Ring Road is a Victorian Regional Road project being overseen by VicRoads.  The Ring Road currently stretches 23km from Waurn Ponds to Corio (Stages 1,2,3 and 4A) and bypasses 31 sets of traffic lights and removes through traffic from travelling through Geelong.  Section 4B of the Geelong Ring Road will provide a new 5km link from Anglesea Road near Hams Road to the Princes Highway near Draytons Road, including a new underpass to service the Blue Circle Quarry.  

Manufacture of the TerraTilt® panels commenced in March 2011.  Construction of the Reinforced Earth™ walls will commence at the end of April with completion scheduled by the end of 2011.   Design is currently well underway for the Blue Circle underpass with manufacture of plain TerraPlus® panels scheduled for April.
